HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 16 (ACN) With the aim of holding exchanges with collectives involved in the economic and social development of the country, Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, continues today his working tours throughout the national territory.
The President arrived in the municipality of Camajuani, in Villa Clara province, accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Presidency reported on X.
Diaz-Canel visited the Gamica Seed Farm, a Basic Business Unit belonging to Urban Agriculture, which closed with losses last year.
At present, the center, as the President learned, has requested several hectares of land to produce food, mainly rice for the municipality and is waiting for a certification of solar panels, which has prevented it from starting up the irrigation system for the crops.
The head of state in his talks with workers and executives of the place, recalled the importance of the entity in the production of foodstuffs.
Another point on the agenda was the Camajuani organoponic plant, where the president checked the problems with the irrigation of the plants.
As part of the tour, he also went to the Alamo Packing Plant, belonging to the Villa Clara Meat Company, which is currently stopped due to lack of raw materials, urging the Party leadership to be more proactive and materialize productive chains.
Camajuani is the seventh municipality visited by the President after starting last week his second series of visits with the purpose of seeking solutions to the problems, with collective thinking and the most efficient use of material, financial and human resources.
