Havana, Feb 14 (ACN) Many activists and friends of Cuba have affirmed their support of the island’s struggle against the US economic, commercial and financial blockade during the 2nd International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Leftist Parties and Movements, which closed Wednesday in Havana.
Ike Nahem, member of the New York-New Jersey Cuba SI Coalition, said the US organization groups a diverse membership committed to set up a common front against the US’s hostile Cuba policy.
He said he expects to spread information about Cuba and about the violation by the US blockade of the Cuban people’s rights.
Watan Jamil Alabed, a Young Palestinian graduated as medical doctor in Cuba, extended his gratitude for the support by the island to the call for an end to the spiral of violence in the Middle East.
On Wednesday morning, a panel of progressive youths addressed what they called the big task of our times, which is keeping a leftist stance and holding the main weapon in the fight: the truth that can dismount any argument foreign to ethics and revolutionary moral.
The event closed with a key-note lecture by European lawmaker Manu Pienda on the humanitarian impact of the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian people and the approval of a declaration in support of the Palestinian cause and a Plan of Action.
