South American Brigade concludes solidarity program in Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 4 (ACN) The 29th South American Brigade of volunteer work and solidarity with Cuba, whose more than 100 members from Brazil, Chile, El Salvador, Uruguay, Ecuador and Argentina support Cuba’s struggle and cause, finished their stay in the island with an official function attended by Fernando Gonzalez Llort, president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).

The brigadistas thanked ICAP for the treatment they received in Cuba and ratified their unconditional love and admiration for the Cuban people, their categorical opposition to the U.S. blockade, and their intention to strengthen the solidarity movement and the forces in favor of the example set by the Revolution around the world.

During their stay, the Brigade engaged in volunteer work and learned about the current situation that Cuba is going through. The members visited places of interest in several provinces and participated in the March of the Torches organized in Havana in honor of the National Hero José Martí.
