Venezuelan ambassador to Cuba praised the work of Casa del ALBA Cultural

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 14 (ACN) The Casa del ALBA Cultural is the realization of the dreams of Fidel Castro and Hugo Chavez to bring art and culture to people of all ages, said Orlando Maneiro Gaspar, Venezuelan ambassador to Cuba.

On the occasion of the celebration, on Wednesday, of the 14th birthday of the institution, located in the central neighborhood of Vedado, the Venezuelan diplomat thanked the dedication, optimism and commitment of those who have made it possible during these years.

The occasion was an opportunity to present the institution's new website, which will be available this weekend and is the result of a joint effort by the Cubarte team and the Ministry of Culture, according to a report by journalist Bertha Mojena.

The event paid tribute to founders and workers who maintain their ties with the cultural institution aimed at enriching social life, promoting the expression and development of ideas, as well as the artistic and literary creation of the peoples of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-People's Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP).

Liliam Mendoza Estrada, director of the center, thanked those who continue to trust in her work group and pointed out that one of the challenges is to continue creating more places like this in other regions of the country and the continent, one of the wishes of the eternal leaders of the Cuban and Bolivarian Revolutions.
Vivian Alvarado, Consul General; Reinaldo Segovia, Minister Counselor, as well as other officials of the Embassy of the Bolivarian nation were also present.
