HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 7 (ACN) During a workshop held in this city, the Center for Information Management and Energy Development (CUBAENERGIA) reported that Cuban professionals are evaluating the need to update the impact of atmospheric pollution caused by materials or forms of energy entailing risk, damage or serious discomfort to human and animal health.
According to the entity, the event is part of the project Integration of methodologies for the evaluation of atmospheric pollution by particulate matter, intended to assess the effects of any anthropogenic or natural activity and to muster the available resources to counteract the damage caused by this phenomenon, namely CUBAENERGIA’s emission and air quality measuring equipment and the standards for their use and calibration.
CUBAENERGIA is attached to the Agency of Nuclear Energy and Advanced Technologies of the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment (CITMA).
