US-Cuba Relations on the Spotlight of Academic Forum

Havana, Dec 6 (ACN) US-Cuba bilateral relations are at the center of debates during the 21st Forum “A Series of Talks on Cuba in the US Foreign Policy,” underway in Havana.

The event, which opened in the presence of deputy Foreign Minister Carlos Fernandez de Cossio, was called by the Center for Research on International Policy (CIPI) and is co-sponsored by the Higher Institute of International Relations (ISRI).

Focusing on the topic “Historical development of official and non-official bilateral cooperation between Cuba and the USA; its impact on both countries and with respect to third parties,” the forum favors academic exchange for US and Cuban researchers, professors and experts from other nations who are debating major aspects of the US policy towards Cuba.

The forum’s agenda includes panels on US-Cuba relations, the Cuba issue at the US Congress, National Security and Migration during the Biden-Harris administration, the ideas of the youths to encourage the improvement of bilateral links, the 2024 general elections and other topics.
The academic encounter will run till Friday.
