HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 27 (ACN) The Cuban Industrial Property Office (OCPI by its Spanish acronym) kicks off today the first of three days of sessions of its Training Seminar for Science and Technology Parks in order to strengthen the dynamizing structures of science, technology and innovation.
One of the main objectives of the meeting, held at the NH Capri hotel, is to familiarize participants with the main concepts and techniques of intellectual property management, knowledge transfer and entrepreneurship, experts from the institution exclusively told the Cuban News Agency.
With emphasis on information and communication technologies, especially of the Scientific and Technological Park of Havana and aimed at: entrepreneurs, administrators and officials associated with the management of entrepreneurship in the country, they explained.
Its discussions will cover the main concepts associated with the main topics, methods to achieve their application, practical exercises and analysis of specific cases that will serve to illustrate situations of application in Latin American countries.
The Cuban Industrial Property Office, part of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, grants the registration of Industrial Property rights in Cuba and provides specialized scientific-technological services to contribute to the development of science, technology, innovation, national and foreign investment, industry and trade.
