Cuban university's medical journal receives important donation

GUANTANAMO, Cuba, Nov 6 (ACN) A donation of computer equipment to the editorial team of the Scientific Information magazine (RIC by its Spanish acronym), official publication of the Medical University of Guantanamo (UCMGT) in easternmost Cuban province, was made by PhD in Sciences Jesus Estupiñan Ricardo, vice president of the Latin American Association of Neutrosophic Sciences ( LACN), on the occasion of the first anniversary of the signing of an inter-institutional collaboration agreement.

The contribution consisted of three state-of-the-art desktop computers, an equal number of printer-scanners, two laptops and a 24-port switch, which is used to connect all the equipment and, in combination with the cabling, make up the local area network.

LACN and UCMGT strengthened relations on September 21, 2022 with the signing of a cooperation agreement, which responds to the fulfillment of common objectives, the exchange of experiences for academic improvement, and research for the sake of productivity and visibility of science.

It also aims at promoting the results of research and the participation of professors and students in international scientific congresses and publications of the Guantanamo House of Higher Studies.

The moment was appropriate for the presentation of a diploma of recognition granted by the LACN to PhD Yanet del Carmen Perez Ferreiro, rector of the UCMGT, for the valuable contribution of the institution to the development of scientific research in the region, while PhD Estupiñan Ricardo received the 40th Anniversary Distinction of Higher Medical Education, for his outstanding commitment to the development of Medical Sciences.

Since October 28, 2022, this university has been a full member of the LACN, based in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and linked to the Neutrosophical School of thought and its applications, in search of social progress based on technological innovation.

The aforementioned NGO accompanies institutions that share similar objectives and are active in related areas such as artificial intelligence and fuzzy logic.
