Cuban President Raul Castro condemned the terrorist attack perpetrated against the French Charlie Hebdo weekly, which took 12 lives.
In a message sent to President Francois Hollande, the Cuban head of state conveyed his condolences to the relatives of the victims, Pl news agency reported.
Meanwhile, Cuban vice-president Mercedes Lopez, member of the Political Bureau of Cuba´s Communist Party also extended her solidarity to the French people following the terrorist attack against the headquarters of the publication.
On behalf of the Cuban government and people, the top government official signed the book of condolences opened at the French embassy in Havana and expressed the Cuban people´s solidarity with the French nation for the death of 12 persons.
Lopez also expressed Cuba´s rejection of terrorist acts, which have claimed numerous Cuban lives.
The book of condolences, which is open to the public till Wednesday, has also been signed by representatives of Mexico, Uruguay, Sweden, Bulgaria, and FAO.
