HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 18 (ACN) Cuban and Romanian authorities highlighted the importance of developing ties between their Parliaments, the Cuban Foreign Ministry reported today.
At a meeting in Bucharest between Cuba’s deputy foreign minister Elio Rodriguez and members of the Cuba Friendship Group of the Romanian legislature, both sides talked about bilateral relations and issues of regional interest.
Likewise, Mr. Rodríguez and the deputy Alexandru Rafila, Romania’s Minister of Public Health, reviewed the current status of cooperation in that field and its prospects for development following the signing last year in Havana of an agreement between the two ministries.
The Cuban official also met with the acting president of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies, Robert Alfred Simonis, to whom he conveyed greetings from Esteban Lazo, president of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba.
