HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 7 (acn) The Stations Network of the Cuban National Seismological Service recorded an earthquake at 8:08 am yesterday at 9.1 kilometers southwest of the city of Santiago de Cuba, with a magnitude of 3.2 on the Richter scale, Granma newspaper reported today.
With a depth of 10.4 kilometers, the shaking occurred at 19.98 North Latitude and 75.91 West Longitude .
Reports of perceptibility were received in the city of Santiago de Cuba and the town of Mar Verde, as well as in the localities of Chivirico and Ocujal del Turquino, located in the municipality of Guama, all in the same province.
So far no human or material damages were reported.
