Matanzas, Sept 13 (ACN) Professors and students from The La Salle universities in the Mexican state of Puebla and the municipality of Pachuca along with the Cuban University of Matanzas held an academic exchange in his central Cuban city.
The rector of the university in Puebla, Alfonso Manuel Alonso told reporters that the group of 23 Mexicans came to Cuba to take advantage of the academic exchange and consider the possibility to strengthen links in other areas of knowledge.
Alonso said that he expected to soon sign accords with Cuban universities to pave the way for bilateral academic visits, which could favor the expansion of Educational Sciences in the two nations.
Meanwhile the Matanzas University rector Leyda Finale de la Cruz said this kind of exchange favors the strengthening of relations with Mexican institutions.
The local higher education center and its counterparts in Mexico develop periodical joint research projects, promote events and participate in online and in-person academic forums, De la Cruz said.
During the exchange, participants gave key-note lectures on educational issues.
