Cuban eastern province hosts political and cultural gala to mark 26th of July

 SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba, Jul 25 (ACN) The Heredia Theater, in this city, will host today the political and cultural gala in honor of the 70th anniversary of the attack on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes garrisons.

According to the Directorate of Culture in Santiago de Cuba, the evening, under the artistic direction of Osvaldo Garcia, will feature the presentation of the Youth Symphony Orchestra, students of the Professional School of Arts and other artists from the province.

The colossus of Santiago de Cuba will also host the Solemn Assembly for the 508th anniversary of the Foundation of the Villa de Santiago de Cuba.

Other activities to commemorate the National Rebellion Day in this southeastern territory will include simultaneous toast with concert bands in all the parks of the municipalities, the launching of the album "Santiago, passion for freedom" and the Santiago 70th Anniversary Rum.

There will also be the opening of construction works of social interest integrally rehabilitated in celebration of the date, while the people of Santiago will enjoy the traditional popular festivities.
