Serbia announces its water polo finals, with Cuban presence

 HAVANA, Cuba, May 9 (ACN) The first match of the Serbian Water Polo League trophy dispute will be next Saturday, with the titans' duel agreed for the third year in a row, between Vojvodina and Red Star, where Cuban Cecilia Diaz plays.

The final will end when one team reaches two victories. The opening game will be played in Novi Sad on Saturday, May 13, at the SC Salt Bar swimming pool.

The second leg will be played on the 20th in Belgrade and a possible third game is scheduled for the 27th in Novi Sad, Vojvodina's headquarters.

In the second semifinal match on April 30, the Cuban club defeated Partizan 18-7, after winning the first leg 18-4 the previous week.

With the red-and-whites from Belgrade, the Cuban is approaching 200 goals in some 70 matches.Vojvodina has won the last two seasons in hard-fought finals against Red Star, where the Cuban arrived in February 2021, after playing with Uraločke from Russia and Senteš from Hungary.
