TRINIDAD, Cuba, May 7 (ACN) The recent addition of equestrian events adds to the nature tourism attractions provided by Sancti Spiritus province’s Valley of the Sugar Mills, declared World Heritage Site together with neighboring Trinidad, Cuba’s third oldest village.
Ana Luisa Borges González, senior marketing specialist of the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Tourism, pointed out that travel agencies in Cuba and abroad are already advertising this choice, available at the estate El Abanico, a ranch where horseback riding, river bathing and local cuisine complement the site’s unique natural environment.
Winner of the 2022 Provincial Award for the Restoration of Immovable Assets, El Abanico was built by the German engineer Guillermo Fischer y Lynn on the grounds of an old sugar mill.
