Cuban Tourism Starts Recovery with One Million Arrivals in May

Havana, May 3 (ACN) Cuban Tourism Minister Juan Carlos Garcia announced the arrival of one million tourists on May 3, which reveals the start of the sector’s recovery after the severe impact by the COVID-19 pandemic and other limitations and external hurdles facing the country.

Minister Garcia made the announcement during the 41st International Tourism Fair—FITCUBA 2023—underway in Havana till May 5tth -- in which he granted the title of Cuba’s Promotional Ambassador in China to Chinese Huo Yao Fei for his work encourage visits to the Cuban destination.

FITCUBA 2023 has been dedicated to promote Havana’s Culture and Patrimony, the Cuban capital was declared Wonder City by the Swiss New7Wonder Foundation.
