HAVANA, Cuba, Apr 26 (ACN) A specialized workshop on exchange, socialization and validation of municipal diagnoses for the insertion of the climate dimension in local development planning in Cuba enters its second day of sessions this Wednesday in Havana.
A group of national and foreign specialists will continue this Wednesday their dialogue on methodological proposals for the analysis of the integral management of the methodology and homogenization of information of the objectives that are still in their initial phase.
The deliberations will be held in plenary at the event's headquarters, at the National Hotel of Cuba, and include the mainstreaming of the gender perspective and its participation, adaptation and mitigation measures, according to the program offered exclusively to the Cuban News Agency.
The latter contemplates security systems in relation to the needs of climate transformations in Cuba, which are not only of that type in its coastal areas.
They also influence the defragmentation of habitats, loss of biological diversity, reduction of forest areas, increase in cases of acute respiratory infections, acute diarrheal diseases, dengue and reemergence of malaria, among others.
The workshop is supported by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment, and the International Foundation for Iberoamerican Administration and Public Policy.
Also, with the collaboration and participation of the Delegation of the European Union in Cuba, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ, German Society for International Cooperation), Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID).
