Raul Castro and Caricom President Hold Official Talks

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 8 (acn) Cuban President Raul Castro and the pro-tempore president of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Brown held official talks in Havana.

Brown is paying an official visit to Cuba heading his country´s delegation to the 5th Cuba-Caricom Summit.

During the talks, both Brown and Raul Castro were satisfied with the excellent bilateral relations between their countries, particularly in the cooperation field, according to PL news agency.

The two leaders addressed regional and international issues during the meeting, which was also attended by Antigua and Barbuda´s foreign minister Henry Charles Fernandez, Health minister Molwyn Morgorson and Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez.

Also on Sunday, the Cuban President also met with Grenada´s Premier Keith Mitchell, who is paying an official visit to the island.

Raul Castro and Keith Mitchell corroborated the excellent bilateral friendly and cooperation relations between their countries and addressed prospects to further those links. They also considered issues of regional and international interest.
