Ciego de Avila, Cuba, April 11 (ACN) An International Economic Association Contract (IEAC)will favor the production of solar energy-fueled water heaters by the Cuban company Rensol, which operates in the field of renewable energy in this central province.
Rensol general director Arley Gonzalez said that the IEAC will help expand sales to priority sectors like tourism and agriculture, which expect to progressively base their operations on sustainable energy sources.
Gonzalez explained that solar-energy-fueled water heaters installed at hotels provide hot water at over 50-celsius degrees, considered as appropriate to guaranteed hotel room showers and the cleaning processes where hot food are prepared and served for the clients.
The use of this technology is in tune with economic and environmental interests since it lowers the use of fossil fuels to generate power and prevents the emission of polluting gasses, the executive told the Cuba News Agency.
Meanwhile, the sale of water heaters in the Caribbean region will guarantee financial stability for the company because they will provide funds for new investments, said Gonzalez.
The Cuban Economy and Planning Ministry assigned funds to Rensol this year so that the company can increase the production of solar heaters to advance the energy efficiency plans.
All these actions favor the production and setting up of new equipment in local hotels for the high tourist season in 2024, providing new, effective and environment-friendly hot water systems.
