Cuban authorities highlight transparency in national elections

 HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 26 (ACN) The national Election Day is taking place in an transparent, ethical and responsible environment, where the previous organization of each polling station has been key, said Susana Dominguez Medina, president of constituency number 10 of the Pilar-Atares Popular Council, in the municipality of El Cerro.

Dominguez Medina informed that the conditions were created days ago for the day to flow in the best way and with good results.

She added that with the help of the neighbors, the necessary steps were taken to prepare the schools in terms of maintenance, the conformation of the electoral tables, and the beautification of each place.

They also worked with the community to make each voter aware of the importance of voting, since they will be electing those who will represent them in the National Assembly of People's Power in the coming years.

On the other hand, Rene Francisco Zaldivar, president of polling station number 2 of the mentioned district, pointed out that last weekend the dynamic test was carried out with satisfactory results and that since the opening of the polling station the neighbors came to exercise their right to vote.

National Elections are held every five years to elect deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power, to constitute the Parliament and its main leaders, as well as the President and Vice President of the Republic.
