Cuban experts highlight quality of international meeting on heritage

 BAYAMO, Cuba, Mar 21 (ACN) Doctor of Sciences Moraima Clavijo Colon, president of the International Council of Museums of Cuba, praised in this city of the eastern Cuba, the organization and scientific quality of the 15th Conference of the Heritage of the People and their Cultures.

She also praised the preparation of the specialists in attendance and their up-to-date knowledge of new information and communications technologies, trends in museology, archeology, anthropology and the development of historic urban centers.

Clavijo Colon considered it a great success of the organizers to dedicate the event to honor the life and work of Dr. Marta Arjona Perez, outstanding Cuban sculptor and ceramist, who died in 2006, and whose birth centenary will be celebrated on May 3.

Fifteen years after the creation of the Conference, she highlighted its level of convocation, which is being extended to other nations, as she predicted a long life and greater roots.
