Havana, March 15 (ACN) The US Coast Guard Service intercepted and returned 27 irregular Cuban migrants on Wednesday to the island through the Orozco harbor, in the western province of Artemisa, according to the Cuban Interior Ministry.
One of the Cubans returned was taken under investigation for presumed serious crime under probe before the illegal departure.
The US Coast Guard Service has returned 2 thousand eight Cubans in 28 operations this year.
Cuba has repeatedly ratified its commitment to a safe, regular and orderly migration and has alerted about the dangers and risks of illegal departures by sea.
