HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 6 (ACN) The trading company KAINOS S.A., with 100 % Cuban capital, was approved in the country for the management of research, development and innovation projects that can be commercialized and the transfer of technologies.
This was reported today in a statement issued by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment ( CITMA by its Spanish acronym), which specifies that the corporate purpose of the so-called Science and Technology Interface Society also includes consultancy and advisory services associated with the projects and the commercialization of intangible assets.
A press release from the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), which approved the corporation, indicates that it is supported by the Universidad de las Ciencias Informáticas (UCI).
This center of higher studies ascribed to the Ministry of Higher Education is the main shareholder of KAINOS S.A., with 95%; while the Technological University of Havana " Jose Antonio Echeverria" ( CUJAE by its Spanish acronym) has a shareholding of the remaining 5%.
This type of companies, the statement highlights, had a boost during 2022, with their incorporation and consolidation in several universities.
