HAVANA, Cuba, Feb 20 (ACN) Norberto Carlos Escalona Carrillo, Cuban ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), reiterated his country's willingness to develop bilateral relations in all areas with that Middle Eastern nation, the foreign ministry said today on its website.
According to the statement, Escalona Carrillo expressed a friendly message on behalf of the Cuban people and government, during a reception by Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of the UAE Supreme Council and ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to the Latin American and Caribbean ambassadors accredited to the UAE.
On Twitter, the diplomat said that the Cuban delegation conveyed Cuba's fraternal greetings to Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi and the authorities of the Federal National Council.
During the day, the official also exchanged with Saqr Ghobash and Seed Rashed Al Aabdi, president and vice president of the Council, respectively; and Tariq Al Tayer, head of the Committee for Friendship with the Parliaments of North American and Latin American Countries, on the possibilities of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two nations.
