Cuba to host International Meeting of Leftist Publications

HAVANA, Cuba, Jan 24 (ACN) The 1st International Meeting of Theoretical Publications of Parties and Movements of the Left, organized by the theoretical and political body of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC), Cuba Socialista, will be held in Havana February 10-12.

The meeting will take place at the Che Guevara hall of Casa de las Americas, and in the context of the Havana International Book Fair, which will provide the possibility of interaction with outstanding intellectuals from all over the world.

According to Enrique Ubieta, director of the Cuba Socialista magazine, the meeting will gather for the first time in Cuba, thinkers and representatives of the publications of leftist parties and movements, to discuss the problems and challenges faced by the revolutionary and progressive forces in the current world context, biased by the right-wing offensive.

Sixty foreign delegates from Asia, Europe, Latin America, the United States and Africa will participate.
