Santiago de Cuba, Jan 16 (ACN) France’s ambassador to Cuba Laurent Burin Des Roziers laid a wreath at the tomb of Cuban Revolution leader Fidel Castro Ruz at Santiago de Cuba’s Santa Ifigenia cemetery on Monday.
The diplomat also paid tribute to Cuban National Hero Jose Marti and the Cuban founding Heroes Carlos Manuel de Cespedes and Mariana Grajales.
Cuba and France enjoy strong cultural links which encourages you to know the majestic monuments raised to honor such great personalities of Cuban history, said Burin Des Roziers.
The French diplomat recalled the exchange accords with the local Juan Bruno Zayas Clinical Hospital, French assistance to railroad workshops and new cooperation projects between France and institutions in Santiago de Cuba.
This was the first visit to Santiago by the French ambassador since he was appointed in October last year.
