Havana, Dec 5 (ACN) Havana is hosting a workshop in cooperation with the International Migration Organization under the title “mitigation of conflicts with irregular migrants.”
The event aims at strengthening skills of inspectors who protect Cuban air and maritime borders, and their migration management capacities, according to the Cuban Interior Ministry.
Portuguese expert Ana Patricia Vaz with over 30 years of experience in the field, will give key-note lectures and exchage with Cuban immigration experts.
Ana Patricia stressed the strategic vision of Cuban authorities about the prevention of irregular migration, as well as the preparation of its specialized forces.
During the opening of the forum, participants underscored the Cuban efforts in facing irregular migration and its contribution to facing the challenges post during the current world migration crisis.
