Havana, Nov 10 (ACN) Cuban Premier Manuel Marrero and Japan’s ambassador to Cuba Hirata Kenji held talks Thursday in Havana and agreed to further expand bilateral cooperation and trade relations in sectors like renewable energy, tourism and the environment.
On his Twitter account the Cuban Premier thanked Hirata Kenji for the warm welcome during his recent visit to Japan.
Marrero paid a visit to Japan on September 26 heading an official delegation to attend funeral services for former Japanese Head of State Abe Shinzo.
On the occasion the head of the Cuban government met with his Japanese counterpart Kishida Fumio and with the president of the Japan-Cuba Friendship Parliamentary League Keiji Furuya.
He also met with members of the Cuban embassy in Japan, and Cuban residents in that country, as well as with members of Solidarity-with Cuba organizations.
