HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 3 (ACN) A group of deputies to the National Assembly of People's Power (Parliament) will tour today the communities most affected by Hurricane Ian in the province of Pinar del Rio, to verify the recovery measures.
According to the Parliament's website, the delegation will visit localities in the municipalities of San Juan y Martinez, Consolation del Sur, San Luis, Viñales, La Palma and Pinar del Rio, where they will exchange with the population, delegates and other authorities of the People's Power.
Homero Acosta, Secretary of the Cuban legislative body, heads the working group, which also includes directors of the permanent commissions and auxiliary offices of the National Assembly.
During the tour, the legislators will assess the alternatives to ensure food cooking and water distribution, the situation of the basic food basket insurance, medical services and communications, as well as the methods used to inform citizens, the release noted.
They will check the support of the system of the People's Power in the recovery of that territory.
