Referendum results to be released soon

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 26 (ACN) The preliminary results of the Popular Referendum are not available yet due to the weather conditions in several regions of the country, according to the National Electoral Council (CEN).

Cuban TV journalist Humberto López reported that the voting timetable was extended due to heavy rains in some provinces, the main reason that CEN was unable to provide all the necessary data on schedule.

He stressed that, although the report would only contain preliminary information, many people were eagerly awaiting the figures, which CEN will announce through the public media system as soon as they are ready.
