Cuban Consular Offices Abroad Prepare Family Code Referendum

Havana, Sept 13 (ACN) Cuban consular officials abroad joined an online session to prepare the upcoming people’s referendum on the new Family Code, which will be held for Cubans abroad Sunday, September 18.

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez recently wrote on his Twitter account that the dynamic test on the vote abroad, held September 11 was successful.

All conditions have been guaranteed for the vote, according to the Special Electoral Commission with the Cuban Foreign Minister.

The referendum will take place in Cuba on September 25, when people will answer Yes or No to the question: Do you agree with the Family Code? The code will be approved if over 50 percent of the votes is affirmative.
