HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 28 (acn) With the handing over on Tuesday in this capital of the official letters of employment to 33 professional of the hydraulic sector that will work in South Africa, Cuba and that nation strengthen their cooperation bonds in this field.
These workers signed a work contract to carry out their work for two years, in the presence of Ines Maria Chapman, member of the Central Committee of the Cuban Communist Party and of the Council of State, and president of the National Institute of Water Resources, and Pamela Tshwete, deputy minister for Water and Plumbing of the Africa nation, and other officials.
Previously, the deputy ministers of this sector of the two countries signed a new Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in hydraulic, sanitary and environmental engineering.
En abril de 2001, Cuba y Sudáfrica firmaron un Acuerdo de Cooperación en el campo del manejo de los recursos hídricos, abasto de agua y saneamiento.
Ese año, la nación antillana envió nueve especialistas del sector para la operación y mantenimiento de sistemas de acueducto, el programa de saneamiento rural y la investigación hidrogeológica y geofísica en los recursos hídricos del país austral africano.
