HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 28 (acn) The blockade, the criminal policy implemented by the United States against Cuba for over five decades now, received on Tuesday a majority condemnation of the United Nations General Assembly.
During the 69th period of sessions under way at the headquarters of the international organization in New York, votes in favor of the resolution entitled Need to Put an End to the Economic, Commercial and Financial Blockade of the United States against Cuba totaled 188.
There were only two votes against and three 3 abstentions.
There have been 23 successive votings in favor of the Cuban document since 1992, when Havana put forward at the U.N. General Assembly for its consideration a resolution against that criminal policy and since then votes in favor have continuously increased.
