HAVANA, Cuba, Oct 24 (acn) New air routes will be available starting from the high (winter season) of Cuban tourism (November-April), pointed out on Friday authorities of the island's tourist sector.
Cuban Tourism Ministry's Communications director, Dalila Gonzalez, said that Cubana Airlines will inaugurate a new itinerary from Costa Rica and will add a second frequency from Cancun, Mexico. Also appearing on the list are operations by Pegas and the Nordwind line to the Varadero beach resort.
Increased in that period will be two Air Berlin flights to Varadero and the central city of Santa Clara, in addition to flights of Condor from Cologne, Germany.
Interjet Airlines opens trips from Merida, Mexico, and from Poland LOT Airlines will fly for the first time to Cayo Santa Maria, in central Cuba.
Copa Airlines will also increase two flights a week to Cayo Santa Maria, while Canada announced important increases of its flights.
