Havana, Jun 2 (ACN) “We must join efforts to implement a “Single Health” approach which stands for a change in our thinking and acting with respect to biodiversity and natural resources, by modifying what for yeas we have addressed about unsustainable production and consumption patterns.”
The statement was made by Elba Rosa Perez, Cuba’s Science, Technology and Environment Minister as she addressed participants at the Stockolm+50 international forum, held June 2 and 3 in Sweden.
The official’s remarks were followed on the Twitter account of the Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment, which recalled that the Sweden-hosted event is an international forum called by the United Nations General Assembly.
The event, developed in support of Kenya, takes place on the same week the planet marks World Environment Day. The forum has been opened to all participants so that they help share experiences and initiatives to protect the Earth and contribute to sustainable and inclusive development, along with a sustainable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
