Havana, May 24 (ACN) Cuban Deputy Foreign Minister Anayansi Rodriguez welcomed Anne Lemaistre, new director of the Regional Culture Office for Latin America and the Caribbean with the UN Education, Science and Culture Organization, UNESCO.
During the meeting in Havana, the two officials exchanged on bilateral relations between UNESCO and Cuba in the context of the 75th anniversary of the setting up of those links, said the diplomat on her Twitter account.
According to PL news agency, the UNESCO office in Havana has promoted programs in the area of culture for all 33 member states and seven associates in this part of the world.
The initiatives have contributed to preserve the Tangible and Intangible Cultural Heritage, to promote creativeness, the development of cultural industries, intercultural dialog, and to safeguard diversity and encourage cultural integration processes.
