Matanzas, April 11 (ACN) The rational use of natural resources and actions to cushion climate change effects are major topics of local forum to be held next June to mark World Environment Day.
The forum, called Environmental Bridge, will socialize main results in the local environment management and can be attended by state and private companies as part of economic actors, said Nelvis Gomez, provincial official with the Science, Technology and Environment Ministry.
The meeting’s agenda includes debates on the protection of biodiversity, pollution, sustainable consumption and production, education, disaster risk reduction and other important topics.
Participants will also present results linked to national programs like the economic and social development up to 2030, said the expert and noted that the forum will offer the opportunity to debate the draft bill on the System of Natural Resources and the Environment of Cuba.
