MATANZAS, Cuba, Apri 5 (ACN) The participation of representatives of more than a hundred private micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) will be a novelty in the May Day celebration parade in the province of Matanzas(western Cuba), according to a press conference held today.
Authorities of the Cuban Workers' Federation (CTC by its Spanish acronym) in Matanzas province indicated that around 300,000 people in this region are summoned to take part in the massive celebration of the proletariat on the island, in person for the first time in the last two years and with sanitary measures such as the use of masks.
Rogelio Leyva Castellanos, in charge of the Labor Affairs sphere of the workers' organization in the territory, said that state and private employees will participate as equals in the International Workers' Day, both with a significant importance in the economy and society.
Representatives of the health union will open the event on Sunday, May Day in this city, a way to pay tribute to their dedication in the long battle to save lives in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic.
