Food production hogs the limelight at Havana's Local Development Fair

HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 30 (ACN) Food production, aimed at the fulfillment of the food sovereignty and nutrition education program, is top of today’s agenda at the 1st Local Development Fair one of the central themes of the third day of the first Havana 2022.

The province will present some of its agroecology projects and other initiatives centered on the efficient production of healthy and quality goods as part of the day’s debates, which include a round table on Electromobility, a strategy intended to streamline urban sustainable transportation
systems, and a keynote lecture on Economic Growth and Local Development by Juan Triana Cordoví, professor at the Cuban Economy Center of the University of Havana.

The coming days will see the launching of new ventures, such as Armonía, a community project that advocates education and women's empowerment, and projects related to beauty care products, handicrafts, jewelry, fashion and home decoration.

Organized by the Government of Havana, this event is attended by many local economic actors bent on strengthening personal links and developing production linkages with state-owned companies.
