SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba, Mar 25 (ACN) The Labor Directorate in Santiago de Cuba guarantees multiple job offers to the youth sector in state and non-state activities, Israel Riveron, provincial deputy director of the agency, told the Cuban News Agency today.
Under the principle that the best help from the State and the Government is to give employment to those who need it, it is a priority in this southeastern territory to insert into work all physically and mentally fit young people over 17 years of age.
Between January and February 2022, around 1,485 people went to the province's labor offices in search of job opportunities, of which 634 were under 35 years of age, the executive said.
According to him, university graduates, graduates of trade and special schools and graduates of the Active Military Service are the main beneficiaries of the employment services network, with offers in the nine municipalities of Santiago de Cuba.
Riveron pointed out that beyond the hiring of young people, they guarantee the objective and subjective conditions of their posts and their professional improvement through continuing their studies, which is essential to have a qualified technical and labor force.
Regarding under 17 year olds graduated from technical and professional education, he pointed out their incorporation to employment with parental consent, the approval of the provincial director of work and under special conditions, although their improvement is preferred before starting their working life.
We give priority to the management of jobs for vulnerable population groups, particularly mothers with three or more minor children, most of them very young, the deputy director concluded.
