HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 22 (ACN) The 4th CUBAGUA International Convention advocated starting today its first meetings between entrepreneurs, when its call was presented in Havana before representatives of the diplomatic body and foreign and national guests, on the occasion of the celebration of World Water Day.
We propose to start Tuesday the exchanges, requests, negotiations and meetings to reach March 22, 2023 with new companies integrated to the water technologies trade, emphasized Fermin Sarduy Quintanilla, director of international relations of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH).
He announced that the CUBAGUA sessions will be held March 22-23 next year at the PABEXPO trade fair center, which includes the Exhibition of Water Technologies and Products, the Technical-Commercial Symposium, the International Congress on Hydraulic Engineering and the Integrated Management of Terrestrial Waters.
France is the guest of honor for its contribution to the sector over the years, for which Anne Petot, head of the deputy mission of that European country accredited to Havana, expressed her gratitude.
The presentation of the bases of the 4th CUBAGUA International Convention coincided with World Water Day, which dates back to 1992, when the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro, where the proposal was made.
At that time, the General Assembly adopted the resolution that March 22 every year be declared World Water Day, the first celebration of which took place in 1993.
