HAVANA, Cuba, Mar 11 (ACN) The Cuban women's water polo team could win today for the first time against Colombia at the Intercontinental Water Polo Cup in Lima, Peru, after losing to the United States, Australia and Canada, world powers.
Cubans and Colombians are at the bottom of the standings in the International Swimming Federation's website, although Cuba has a superior team than the South Americans.
The Caribbean women have highly competitive players, both those who play in Cuba and those who compete in European leagues.

For Cuba, Daniuska Carrasco, Madonnis Chavez, Aliannis Ramirez and goalkeeper Arisney Ramos, among others, have excelled in Lima.
Tomorrow they will face Brazil, a very evenly matched opponent, and on Sunday Argentina, which already defeated Colombia but is more affordable than the Brazilians.
