MATANZAS, Cuba, Jan 17 (ACN) With the aim of improving the network system of the locality of Monticelo, an area located in the outskirts of this city, the Research, Projects and Engineering Enterprise (EIPI by its Spanish acronym) of Matanzas will design a new sewage system for that region.
Erick Ramirez Suarez Suarez, general director of EIPI, told the Cuban News Agency in an exclusive interview that in accordance with the strategies designed jointly with the Matanzas Aqueduct and Sewage Company, next February the company will begin field research in the locality,
concerning topographic studies and the search for areas for the execution of the final wastewater disposal system, essential processes for the success of any work.
He explained that the area to be executed is extensive; the field investigations will be completed over a two-month period, so that by the end of the first semester of the current year the new design will be ready.
EIPI is currently carrying out other actions, among which the redesign of the distribution system in the city of Cardenas and the upkeep of the pipelines in the communities of Cabezas and Cidra, Bermeja, essential works for the wellbeing of the population.
