Cuban Premier Tours Eastern Economic Facilities

Bayamo, Jan 14 (ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero toured the “Manuel Hernandez” marble-processing industry in Granma province as part of a large tour of economic facilities in this easter portion of Cuba.

The marble-processing plant, which exploits its own quarry, produced over 125 thousand square meters of marble in 2021, according to the Cuban Presidency’s Facebook page.

The Prime Minister also visited a local chicken incubation facility where he was briefed about production indicators. He also toured a plant of oxygen and other industrial gasses in the city of Bayamo, which has a production capacity of some 30 daily tons of gas.

The government visit also included Revolution Commander Ramiro Valdes who presided over the inauguration of what is known here as Integral Center to Attend Clients and Cargo Dispatch Facility, both under the local Electric Company.

Commander Valdes acknowledged the effort of all workers in the sector to keep the services available for the people.

Meanwhile, deputy prime minister Ines Maria Chapman visited a neighborhood in the provincial capital where new water-supply equipment has been installed to benefit over 90 thousand citizens.

Chapman also visited ongoing construction and rehabilitation works on water networks in local communities to benefit human settlements which are currently provided with drinking water through cistern trucks, according to local television.
