Cuban FM highlights failure of meddling actions against his country

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 7 (ACN) Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, Cuban foreign minister, highlighted today on Twitter the failure of meddling, destabilization and disinformation attacks against the island, promoted by the United States.

The foreign minister's message underlines the influence of anti-Cuban sectors in such actions, and assures that in Cuba, these groups lack popular support.

In recent months, the Caribbean island has denounced the increase of destabilizing actions on the part of the U.S. government, in challenge to the constitutional order of the nation.

According to Cuban diplomat, a powerful communicational campaign has been used to recreate a non-existent scenario of instability and violence on the island, and to force a change of regime for strictly political reasons, which serve the interests of powerful groups in the United States.

With these actions, the main focus of the U.S. government is to try to show Cuba as a failed state, to use that approach as a pretext for the tightening of the economic, commercial and financial blockade, Rodriguez Parrilla recently stated.
