Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces congratulated on their 65th anniversary

HAVANA, Cuba, Dec 2 (ACN) Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz used Twitter to congratulate today the members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) on the 65th anniversary of their creation and referred to them as an example of organization, discipline and efficiency.

On the same social network, Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Inés María Chapman also recognized the glorious combatants of the FAR, describing them as part of the uniformed people who fulfill the sacred duty of defending the Homeland and deserve our admiration and respect.

The first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Havana, Luis Antonio Tórres Iríbar, described the FAR as the armed wing of the people and their revolution and its men and women as the pride and best example of the socialist homeland.
Similarly, the account of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces (MINFAR) congratulated its members and called them the most precious and decisive component of the entity.

MINFAR remarked on its website that upon the triumph of the Cuban Revolution, the Revolutionary Government did not an armed force capable of fulfilling the twofold mission of guaranteeing the country's internal security and defending it from foreign aggression. Hence its decision to merge the Rebel Army with our workers, peasants, students and university militias in October 1959 and whose members, months after Bay of Pigs, gave rise to the FAR.
