Cuba to be Present at Tourist Fair in FranceHAVANA, Cuba, Sept 22 (acn) Interested in consolidating the French market as one of the main nations sending tourists to Cuba, the Caribbean island will participate, as of Tuesday, in the 36th edition of Top Resa, a fair of established prestige for the promotion of tourism in Europe, to be held in Paris.

According to a communiqué by the Tourism Ministry (MINTUR), the Cuban mission at the meeting hopes to strengthen bonds with travel agents operating in France, in addition to update them on the new offers destined for the next winter season.
Until Friday, the island's representatives will promote destinations of interest for the French market, among them the cities that have celebrated the 500th anniversary of their founding, places with market French influence and the beach resorts of Varadero, Cayo Santa Maria, Jardines del Rey and Holguin.
Headed by Maria del Carmen Orellana, commercial director of MINTUR, the delegation is composed of representatives of the Havanatur Group and of the Cubatur, Viajes Cubanacan, San Cristobal, Gaviota Tours and Amistur recipient agencies
Also attending the fair will be executives of the national hotel chains Gran Caribe, Cubanacan, Habaguanex and Gaviota, and of foreign associates Melia Hotels International, Accor, Barcelo, Iberostar, Pestana, Roc Hotels and Blue Diamond.
France occupies the fifth position in the list of countries sending the largest amount of tourists to Cuba, with over 85,000 visitors so far this year. The most recent edition of Cuba's International Tourism Fair, held in May at Havana's Moor-Cabaña complex, was dedicated to that European nation.
