Diaz-Canel thanks Argentinian people for their solidarity with Cuba

HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 6 (ACN) Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the country, thanked today the Argentinian people and government for sending solidarity aid.

In a publication on Twitter, Cuban leader highlighted the sending of an important donation of 3,500 kilograms of syringes, sanitary masks, means of protection and expendable material, which will allow continuing responding to the COVID-19 pandemic and contribute to the vaccination of the Cuban population.

He also signified the support of other countries: "At the same time, food sent by several nations is being distributed in the provinces. Thanks to all! #EliminateTheBlockade."

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Cuba has received numerous gestures of solidarity from governments, institutions and international organizations to face COVID-19.
