Cuba and Venezuela Sign Two New Cooperation AgreementsCARACAS, Sept 19 (AIN) Two new cooperation agreements between Cuba and Venezuela to exchange supplies between the Labiofam S.A. and Agropatria S.A. enterprises were signed on Thursday in this capital.

This new program of exchanges was signed in the presence of Rogelio Polanco, Cuban ambassador to Venezuela.
The agreement for the production and commercialization of biological products against larvae and rodents, bio-fertilizers and agricultural bio-pesticides was signed by Venezuelan Ivan Gil, vice-president for Food Security and Sovereignty and Cuban Jose Antonio Fraga, president of Labiofam S.A.
During the signing of the agreements, Fraga informed that starting from this contract the operation of a processing plant in Maracay, in the state of Aragua, paralyzed for many years, should be boosted.
Cuba's participation will take place not only in terms of administration and technology transfer, but also of training of the staff for the production of varied fertilizers and veterinary medicaments contributing to the food and agriculture development of the country, from the experience of Labiofam, he specified.
He said that Cuba is willing and has the conditions to cooperate with the Venezuelan Public Health Ministry with specialized personnel and products of Labiofam, in the struggle against the country's epidemiological situation, particularly in the fight against dengue and the Chikungunya virus, in the same way it has been taking place in other nations of the area and in Africa.
