Havana, Aug 6 (ACN) The Cuban Chamber of Commerce took part at an online seminar Friday on trade relations between the Indian region of Mumbai and the Caribbean area.
The seminar offers opportunities to establish new commercial links between the two regions through the promotion of areas of interest for Indian trade and investment, according to the Cuban Chamber of Commerce.
The Cuban entity was represented at the seminar by Ruben Ramos who is vice-president of the World Trade Center Havana.
The event was organized by World Trade Center Mumbai --@WTCMumbaiIndia--to explore new trade opportunities in Caribbean countries.
The Indian and Cuban centers are part of the New York-based World Trade Center Association, set up in 1970 to promote world trade.
At present, India, Latin America and the Caribbean along with China are the new centers of world growth, according to a recent report by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean—ECLAC.
Several countries of this region, such as Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba and Peru have benefitted over the past years thanks to the increase of trade relations with the Asian-Pacific region.
